Could this week be turning into a peplum kinda week? It was this peplum skirt yesterday, I wonder what I’m going to feel like tomorrow morning. This outfit was inspired by this outfit over at Wendy’s Look Book.
And the stars must not be aligning again because it’s bringing out the crazy in everyone, even the birds! This bird was eyeballing me all lunch and just as I had two more bites in my sandwich, the bird went for it and was an inch away from my face! I obviously screamed like a little girl and flung myself into my friend. These city birds are getting too brave for my liking!

I was recommended by a good friend to try Fabanak, a restaurant that centres their values behind building a community, sourcing local ingredients and presenting an innovative menu.
I love their idea of having different lunch special put together in a bento box. I didn’t get it but my co workers really loved it. I instead shared three small plates (which really wasn’t that small) with my beauty editor. Our favourite was the marinated lamb loin, it was really flavourful but you have to love the musky lamb taste. I was really surprised there was that much bone marrow that came with the order, I’ve had it at other places where they gave you the teeniest amount. The sauce for the crispy cauliflower was really yummy too especially when drenched in the curry. We were so surprised that each of the small plates were only $6 which made it so hard to not want to try everything. They also do a brunch Saturday morning, I think that Fabarnak will be my next brunch spot!

I finally took the plunge, I finally bought my first piece at asos. I snuck in this skirt along with my mama’s order, yes that’s right mama kam shops at asos too, she’s just that cool. I love everything about this piece, the colour, the texture and the shape! And if you can see, my arm party is slowly crawling over to my right arm. I had a voucher for eluxe and picked up this and this in blue. I hope my arm doesn’t get longer with all this weight I’m putting on them.

Meet some of my besties! Would you believe if I told you we did not plan our outfits? We showed up at the wedding of one of our high school friend’s and we were all matching. Wedding season has been here for awhile but I am just starting to feel the grunt of it with this being my first wedding this summer. Three more to follow soon so I thought I would start a wedding series.
This was a casual wedding at a church with a light reception after so summery cocktail dresses worked best. E’s dress is satin which made it feel formal yet the length of it kept it more casual. And I love how the girls’ dresses are from Forever 21, it’s a great store with a lower price point to find items that are on trend or items you just want to wear a couple of times. With my blue louche dress, I got to bring out my Jimmy Choo for H&M shoes to come out and play. It hardly gets to see the light of day.

Another Glow’s weekly fashion post! We’ve been super busy putting the September issue to bed. I can’t wait to hold and sniff the new issue when it lands on my desk!
Picnics during the summer with my friends is one of my all time favourites and you can make it as elaborate or as simple as you want. I love going to the market to pick up different cheeses (the stinkier, the better!), cured meats and a baguette. To make it more interesting, throw in some jams and pâtés to mix it up. A tub of pre cut fruits would make an excellent dessert after. Just remember to bring some extra utensils and a plate or two to cut and separate the food. Bon apetit!
